EU negotiators to discuss draft bill to allow WhatsApp, Viber to scan for child-abuse content

European governments gave negotiators a mandate to start talks with European Parliament officials at a meeting today. The draft EU bill will give OTT services an exception to e-Privacy rules, allowing them to voluntarily take down illegal child-abuse content.
