FTC requires Fidelity National to divest title plant assets to settle merger challenge

( December 24, 2013, 17:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission has ordered that Fidelity National Financial sell title plant assets serving six Oregon counties and the Portland metropolitan area to an agency-approved buyer within five months of closing its acquisition of NYSE-listed rival Lender Processing Services. The order further requires Fidelity National to notify the agency in advance before acquiring title plants in Oregon and includes an order to maintain divestiture assets until the required divestitures are complete.See the Orders below....
