ASML Holding's acquisition of Hermes Microvision approved by Singapore merger regulator

( August 22, 2016, 10:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Semiconductor manufacturer and marketer ASML Holding has been cleared to acquire Hermes Microvision, or HMI, the Competition Commission of Singapore said in a statement. HMI manufactures e-beam tools for chip manufacturers worldwide and has no operations within Singapore. The Commission examined and found no competition concerns in markets engaged in the worldwide supply of overlay metrology, wafer inspection and lithography equipment or in the process-control software market.
