Microsoft files redacted opposition to Xockets' motion for preliminary injunction in US antitrust case

( October 16, 2024, 19:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Microsoft argued in a redacted court filing that Xockets' motion for a preliminary injunction based upon its US antitrust claims fails "because of its complete failure to demonstrate any threat of irreparable harm or any hope of showing a likelihood of success on the merits." In its opposition brief, originally filed Oct. 9, Microsoft said Xockets alleges that it would have received patent license or acquisition revenues but for Nvidia's and Microsoft’s alleged agreement to only seek to purchase or license Xockets' patents through RPX Corporation. "But any lost revenues would be compensable with monetary damages, negating any claim of irreparable harm," Microsoft said.  See court filing. ...
