Brazil's president submits two names to become CADE councilors to Senate approval

( May 20, 2019, 14:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro has sent the names of public attorney Vinicius Klein and economics professor Leonardo Bandeira Rezende to the Senate to fill two upcoming councilor vacancies at the Tribunal of the Brazilian competition authority. The Senate will have to vote on the names. Rezende was recommended by Paulo Guedes, the Ministry of Finance, and Klein was recommended by Sérgio Moro, the Ministry of Justice. The two positions at the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, will be vaccant in July.OJ statement follows in Portuguese....
