Dutch support to Bergermeer gas-storage facility wins approval in EU

The commission said the support — which was cleared due to the Ukraine war — comes in the form of insurance against negative winter-summer gas price spreads. It will give companies an incentive to store natural gas at Bergermeer, shielding them from unexpected adverse price developments over the storage period this summer.
