US plastic bag group supports US action against bags dumped from Vietnam

( October 26, 2020, 21:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Polyethylene Retail Carrier Committee, a coalition of US plastic bag manufacturers, said it supports a decision by US Customs and Border Protection to find that a US importer Mac Swed had improperly declared polyethylene bags as originating in Laos, when in fact they were from Vietnam, in an attempt to evade duties. Bags from Vietnam are subject to antidumping and countervailing duties of up to 128.67 percent.Statement follows....
