LinkedIn says members' data found for sale wasn't a data breach, but scraped from LinkedIn

( April 8, 2021, 20:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: LinkedIn said in a statement that it has investigated an alleged set of members' data and found that it's not a data breach and didn't include "private member account data." The company said the dataset is "an aggregation of data from a number of websites and companies" that includes "publicly viewable member profile data that appears to have been scraped from LinkedIn."
