Portugal's telecom authority weighs in against Altice's Media Capital takeover

Meo, owned by the Dutch company Altice, is Portugal's largest telecom operator. Media Capital owns Portugal's TVI television channel. The telecom authority said that the deal could create serious obstacles to competition, for instance by impeding rivals' access to TVI's TV and radio content.
