Iron Triangle faces amended US antitrust claims over Oregon logging market

( January 25, 2023, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Plaintiffs filed an amended US antitrust complaint accusing logging company Iron Triangle of illegally monopolizing four logging markets in an area consisting of the Malheur National Forest and private forestlands in Grant County and the northern third of Harney County, Oregon. According to the complaint, Iron Triangle has exploited the stewardship contract granted by the US Forest Service to hoard enormous volumes of forestland timber under contract, resulting in the dual anticompetitive purpose of restricting softwood sawlog output and increasing prices.
