Real estate, finance among sectors facing Hong Kong antitrust probes

( July 4, 2022, 10:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Hong Kong's Competition Commission has started six new antitrust cases since June last year, investigating such sectors as real estate and property management; fuel and energy resources; banking, financial and insurance products and services; information technology; telecommunications; as well as food and groceries, according to a work report discussed by the regulator at the Legislative Council on July 4. Since the city's antitrust law took effect in late 2015, the regulator has brought 11 cases to the Competition Tribunal, and succeeded in all five cases already ruled on by the specialist court, it said in the report.The work report is attached....
