Italy, Portugal chip in on EU’s debate on generative AI and copyright

The comments, seen by MLex, provide several interesting elements on AI model training, transparency, copyright liability, and output protection that are bound to be picked up in the upcoming discussions. The comments also decisively side with the right holders.The Hungarian rotating presidency of the Council of the EU initiated a reflection in July about the thorny questions of copyright and generative AI, circulating a detailed questionnaire with European governments (see here)....
