Kronospan, Pfleiderer fined over Polish furniture-panel cartel
( December 28, 2017, 13:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Producers of wood-based panels used in the furniture production have been fined by the Polish Competition Authority, which found that Kronospan Szczecinek, Kronospan Mielec, Pfleiderer Group, Pfleiderer Wieruszów and Swiss Krono participated in a cartel from the start of 2008 to September 2011. The regulator has imposed total fines of around 135.7 million zloty ($38.5 million) on four of the five companies. Swiss Krono escaped penalties under the country's leniency rules.Statement follows....
