Twitter receives reprimand from Ireland for failing to abide by user's account erasure request

The authority issued a "reprimand" to the social-media platform for its handling of a user's request to erase an account after it had been suspended. The Irish DPC said Twitter failed to comply with the request "within the statutory timeframe" and should not have required a copy of photographic ID when fulfilling a data erasure request.
