​Former transport executive says US Justice Department discounts role of FBI informant in FCPA case

( May 13, 2019, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A former transportation executive said the US Justice Department is trying to discount the role a deceased bribe-payer played as a confidential informant for the FBI, and said the DOJ should release more records about the informant's role. Mark Lambert, former co-president of Maryland-based Transport Logistics International, said DOJ is improperly holding back information about Rod Fisk, a deceased TLI executive who allegedly recruited Lambert into a scheme to bribe Russian officials for contracts to transport nuclear fuel from Russia and who was also secretly telling the FBI about the international nuclear industry. Lambert, facing trial next month on bribery charges, said he needs more information about Fisk's relation to the FBI to mount his defense.See attached document....
