Prosegur-Transvip deal faces in-depth review in Brazil

( September 11, 2019, 21:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Prosegur Brasil's planned buyout of Transvip - Transporte de Valores e Vigilância Patrimonial will face an in-depth review by the Brazilian competition authority, according to a statement disclosed in the case file. Investigators at the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, declared the deal "complex," saying they need to further study entry, competition and coordinated power in the market for transportation of valuables in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, two states where concentration resulting from the deal is high.
