New measures for more sustainable, less wasteful packaging get EU lawmakers’ approval

The new law bans certain single-use plastic packaging types in EU countries from Jan. 1, 2030. It also encourages reuse-and-refill options for consumers, and ensures that all packaging be recyclable under strict criteria.
