Primus Pacific alleges Goldman Sachs failed to disclose ties in Malaysian bank deal

( July 26, 2016, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Primus Pacific, the largest stock holder of Malaysian bank EON Capital, has sued Goldman Sachs and its former director in Singapore over Goldman's role as an adviser in the sale of EON to Hong Leong Bank. The suit alleges that, as EON's adviser, Goldman Sachs failed to disclose its ties to the Malaysian prime minister, whose brother was a director of Hong Leong. Primus alleges that Goldman Sachs advised EON to accept an undervalued offer and seeks $510 million in damages, according to the complaint. Goldman Sachs has been linked to an investigation of Malaysia's 1MDB official development fund and the misappropriation of 1MDB funds to personal accounts of Malaysian officials and others.Please see attached complaint....
