EssilorLuxottica-GrandVision merger decision published by EU regulator

( April 18, 2024, 12:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has published its 2021 decision to clear Ray-Ban maker EssilorLuxottica’s acquisition of optometrists group GrandVision, with conditions. The regulator cleared the deal following an in-depth probe in March 2021, after EssilorLuxottica agreed to divest more than 300 shops in Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands to address competition concerns. The commission has also now published its decisions to sign off on the purchasers of those stores, as well as the report of its hearing officer on the investigation.The decisions are attached.
