California Attorney General: Attorney General halts online cosmetics price-fixing scheme

Harris, California's Attorney General has announced a settlement with Bioelements, a cosmetic company in California, in response to its participation in a price fixing conspiracy in the form of retail price maintenance. Online retailers were required to sell their products for at least as much as the retail prices prescribed by Bioelements. Under the terms of the settlement, Bioelements is obliged to accept a fine of 51,000 US dollars and refrain from fixing retail prices for its products.  The settlement is one of the first applications of California's pro-consumer antitrust law banning vertical price-fixing...
