CADE denies Brazilian port terminal association request that Maersk be prohibited from participating in bid involving Cais do Saboó

( June 30, 2022, 15:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Brazilian competition authority has denied a request from the Brazilian Association of Terminals and Customs Enclosures (Abtra) that the agency prohibit Maersk and any company linked to it from participating in a bid for the concession of the Cais do Saboó area, called STS-10, to build a port terminal. Cais do Saboó is located in Santos city, in São Paulo state. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, said the matter is not under its scope of analysis, but that of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the National Water Transport Agency (Antaq).
