Apple should be probed over exclusive dealing with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., coalition says

( April 16, 2024, 16:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple's business dealings in electronics supply chains should be scrutinized by the US Department of Justice, said a coalition of advocacy groups including the American Economic Liberties Project. In a letter to the DOJ, the groups urged the agency to investigate Apple "for illegal monopolization as a buyer over the semiconductor industry and over global electronics supply chains more generally, going beyond the case the DOJ already filed against Apple." They specifically requested that the government examine "Apple’s recently reported exclusive dealing arrangements with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company." See statement and letter. ...
