Transmission operators’ development plan scenarios aren’t fully compliant with Acer’s framework guidelines

( October 1, 2024, 14:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU energy regulator Acer has said in an opinion that the draft joint scenarios report for the Ten-Year Network Development Plan needs rectifications, to fully comply with its framework guidelines. Shortcomings of the draft scenarios issued by Entsog and Entso-E — the gas and electricity transmission operators’ networks — are related to the creation of "diverging scenarios," to unmet transparency standards, and to delays in both the development of scenarios and in stakeholder engagement. The European Commission will take Acer's opinion into consideration when it reviews the draft report, and the commission can either approve it or ask issuers to amend it.Statement follows.
