AlzChem contests Slovak state aid data-access refusal at EU court

( March 23, 2021, 09:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: German company AlzChem Group is at the bloc's first-tier court today, to challenge the European Commission's refusal to give it access to data about the recovery of illegal Slovak funding that was granted to rival Fortischem. In 2014, the commission ruled that Novácké Chemické Závody, or NCHZ, had been granted unlawful state aid in the context of insolvency proceedings and that aid should be repaid not only by NCHZ, but also by Fortischem, its economic successor. For the purposes of today's hearing, the General Court has prepared a report outlining the background of the legal dispute.The hearing report is attached. Case reference is T-569/19. ...
