Halliburton-Baker Hughes deal subject to antitrust laws in Brazil, China

( February 6, 2015, 22:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Halliburton's planned acquisition of fellow oil-field services company Baker Hughes must comply with antitrust rules in Brazil and China, according to a Halliburton filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday. The terms of the merger agreement also require that any necessary filings be made, or approvals received, in the United States, the European Union, Australia, Canada, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Russia and Saudi Arabia "to the extent filings are required in any or all of these jurisdictions," the company said.Extract....
