Valve's claims of patent troll violations by nonpracticing entities, law firm, withstand motion to dismiss

A US judge yesterday said the law, one of the nation’s earliest aimed at curbing bad faith allegations of patent infringement, does not require an analysis of “good faith” factors — only that they can be considered.Valve, the developer behind the Steam online gaming platform, can move forward with its lawsuit against Lee Rothschild, owner of patents that were licensed to Valve as part of a 2015 settlement of infringement litigation....
