Lithuania briefs EU ministers for competitiveness on royalty-collecting deal

( December 2, 2013, 17:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Lithuania, which now holds the European Union's rotating presidency, has briefed EU ministers for competitiveness on an agreement between national governments and the European Parliament meant to enhance the management of royalty-collecting societies. The draft directive also aims to improve cross-border licensing of online music. EU states will have to incorporate the new law into their national legislation within 24 months of its entry into force.The statement follows....
