Meta, Within too late, using 'overbroad' argument to strike expert witness testimony in US merger case, FTC says

( December 29, 2022, 22:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta and Within's motion to strike testimony from US Federal Trade Commission expert Hal Singer in the agency's challenge to their deal is untimely and "overbroad," and should be denied, the agency said in a court filing.  A California federal judge is mulling a potential injunction to block the transaction from closing, and even if the judge were to disregard the survey used to inform Singer's analysis, his opinions regarding market definition are based on more than just the survey, the FTC said.
