Belgium’s remuneration right for authors, performers faces EU high court review

The Belgian Constitutional Court today decided to send questions to the EU Court of Justice on whether the introduction into national law of a "compulsory, unwaivable and non-transferable right to remuneration for the benefit of authors and performers" is unlawful under the EU Copyright Directive.
