Germany doesn’t support Italy’s pro-biofuels pitch for EU cars future, ministry envoy says

Italy, a strong supporter of biofuels, had hoped to build an alliance calling for an early review of the EU car emission rules under the principle of “technological neutrality.”Biofuels are not climate neutral, and Germany is not baking them as a solution to meet the zero-emission car targets in 2035 as Italy had hoped, German State Secretary Sven Giegold has said today....
