Claro, Oi and Telefônica face formal Brazilian antitrust probe into data transmission market

( August 25, 2017, 21:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Brazilian competition watchdog has opened a formal probe into alleged collusion among telecoms Claro, Oi and Telefônica Brasil to hinder competition in the data transmission market for corporate customers, according to a statement disclosed today in the case file. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, has been investigating the case under a preliminary inquiry.
