Hewlett-Packard ends Slovak antitrust probe with commitments

The watchdog accepted a proposal that HP made to allay its antitrust concerns. As part of the probe — which began in 2019 and centered on whether HP engaged in market sharing or customer allocation with regard to the sale of ink cartridges — the agency analyzed the system of granting special discounts to certain retailers selling the original consumables to public-sector customers. The conduct also concerned quality, conformity certificates as part of public tenders for the sale of consumables, the agency said.
