China's draft national standards for personal data transfers open for public comment until June 2

The draft standards, which are open for public comment until 2 June, aim to implement Article 45 of China's Personal Information Protection Law. It clarifies the conditions applicable to and exercisable by a personal information subject requesting the data transfer, the scope of transferrable personal information, and the security principles, procedures, and technical requirements to be followed by a personal information handler in handling the request.
