New Zealand says provisional trade measures unnecessary, but will continue Chinese steel probe

In August, the MBIE began an investigation into imports of steel reinforcing bar and coil, or rebar, from China after Pacific Steel New Zealand claimed that the Chinese steel was responsible for price undercutting, depression and suppression. The MBIE said that while provisional measures were unwarranted, there was sufficient cause to continue the investigation. The ministry’s final decision on the matter is expected by March 3 next year....
