This included a specific request to reduce import duties from 30 percent to 10 percent on footwear and leather goods. India said non-tariff barriers like import quotas, stringent sanitary norms and complex administrative procedures were limiting trade. It also proposed the setting up of a joint business council led by private industry to bolster and promote trade and business ties. Bilateral trade was valued at $155.76 million in 2016-17, with an ambitious $1 billion in trade targeted within the next three years.  ...
