EU fines North Sea shrimp cartel EUR28 million for price-fixing

( November 27, 2013, 10:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has imposed fines of 28 million euros ($38 million) on four traders of North Sea shrimp for running a cartel. Klass Puul received immunity for blowing the whistle on the illegal conduct. Heiploeg received the largest sanction, set at 27 million euros. The other companies fined are Kok Seafood and Stührk.
