Nine sintered-brick manufacturers fined by local Chinese regulator for price fixing
( August 21, 2019, 07:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nine manufacturers of sintered bricks in the county of Yunyang have received penalties from the Chongqing municipal Administration for Market Regulation for colluding to fix the price of sintered bricks and to impose restrictions on their production and sales volumes. According to nine separate penalty decisions published today, seven brick producers were hit with fines amounting to 5 percent of their respective revenues for 2017. The regulator also confiscated illicit gains from the remaining two companies, given that they had suspended production since 2014. The Chongqing regulator started a probe of the case in July 2018.
