US judge grants month-long extension on TRO against Meta's acquisition of Within to Jan. 31

( December 22, 2022, 05:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta and the US Federal Trade Commission's joint stipulation for a one-month extension of a temporary restraining order to keep Meta from consummating its proposed merger with virtual-reality company Within has been granted by a federal judge. In an order, US District Judge Edward Davila of the Northern District of California granted the parties joint stipulation to extend the TRO to Jan. 31, 2023 to "ensure this Court has sufficient time to rule on the FTC’s request for a preliminary injunction before the TRO expires."The document is attached....
