US District Court: Central District of California - Robins v. Spokeo [order on motion to dismiss]

Wright has denied Spokeo’s motion to dismiss Thomas Robins’ complaint alleging that the data broker violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by posting misleading information about Robins. Wright said that Robins’ allegations that Spokeo’s marketing of inaccurate consumer reporting information about him show an injury in fact traceable to Spokeo. Wright also granted the dismissal of Robins' state anticompetitive claim, saying that he did not show injury due to unfair competition.See document below....
