EU court confirms lower court’s ruling on Gascogne’s and Kendrion’s participation in an industrial-bags cartel

( November 26, 2013, 08:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU’s highest court has upheld lower court rulings on the role of Gascogne and Kendrion in a cartel on the market for industrial bags. It said, however, that the manufacturers could bring damages actions before the lower-tier General Court due to the time taken to rule on the appeal. Judges said that five years and nine months was too long and infringed the companies’ right to have their case heard in a reasonable time.Full statement follows.
