Uniper should spin off Russian utility to clear path for Fortum, Knight Vinke says

The hedge fund is seeking to add a resolution to a May 22 shareholder meeting under which Uniper’s management would prepare the groundwork for spinning off the 83.73 percent holding. State-backed Fortum owns 49.99 percent of Uniper but may not increase the stake under a Russian antitrust ruling that said Unipro’s water-testing license can’t be majority owned by a foreign state-controlled company.Statement attached below. ...
