Speaking at an event, Khan said that across US history, “we’ve actually seen certain inflection points where there was a debate in the United States as to whether we wanted to coddle our monopolies and really boost our national champions so that they could fight it out on the global stage, or whether instead, we wanted to double down on competition.” US Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan today maintained her advocacy for competition over the boosting of national champions and questioned the notion that consolidation in the defense industry has served the US well....
