Pet medicine wholesaler loses antitrust case against PetIQ

( April 22, 2019, 22:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Generic pet medicine provider PetIQ has fended off an antitrust case filed by a pet drug wholesaler. MedVets was challenging PetIQ's acquisition of VIP Petcare, but US District Judge Maxine Chesney in San Francisco ruled today that Med Vets didn't properly define a relevant market. "A market definition based on whether one or more business entities find it economically advantageous to collect and publish certain types of sales data is facially unsustainable," Chesney wrote, in dismissing the lawsuit with prejudice.See document below...
