Ex-Och-Ziff exec says SEC failed to show that he knew of corruption

( August 18, 2017, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Michael L. Cohen, a former executive with a European arm of Och-Ziff Capital Management, said that a US Securities and Exchange Commission complaint against him should be dismissed because it failed to present evidence of  "particularized" allegations of wrongdoing under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and because it was filed after the statute of limitations had expired. He also said that the SEC was trying to extend the Investment Advisers Act extraterritorially. Och-Ziff, a New York-based hedge fund, last year reached a settlement with US authorities in a major FCPA case arising from a series of alleged bribery scandals in Africa.Please see attached document....
