Former Willis Re employee says executives told him Aon-Willis Towers Watson merger 'not good for clients'

By Curtis Eichelberger ( March 11, 2021, 20:30 GMT | Insight) -- Cameron Roe, a former employee of Willis Towers Watson subsidiary Willis Re who is being sued for breach of contract after he jumped to competitor Guy Carpenter, provided a declaration to a Florida court stating that Willis Re executives "openly acknowledged" that the proposed merger of Aon and Willis Towers Watson was "not good for clients and not good for reinsurers in the market." They also said regulators would almost certainly require that Willis Re be divested, according to Roe.
