Continental, Nokia, Avanci, others outline antitrust-patent case ahead of first court appearance
( August 15, 2019, 15:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Auto parts maker Continental and standard-essential cellular patent owners and licensors Nokia, Conversant Wireless Licensing, Optis and Avanci filed a joint status report outlining their antitrust dispute over Continental's ability to license the others' cellular patents for use in its automotive navigation components. The filing today was made in advance of their first court appearance on Aug. 21 before US District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose, California. Continental first filed suit in May, and added Japanese electronics company Sharp as a defendant in July. Sharp did not sign on to the status report.See document below...
