UK improves anti-money laundering laws but fails to make 'sufficient progress,' watchdog says

( June 9, 2022, 16:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK has improved its anti-money laundering and terrorist financing framework, but has "not made sufficient progress" in its technical compliance of deficiencies identified in a 2018 assessment by the Financial Action Task Force, the global standard-setter said today. While the UK has had its status upgraded from partially complaint to complaint, it will remain in "regular follow up" and will inform the FATF of further progress in its implementation of anti-corruption measures, it said.Statement follows, the report is attached....
