Brazil's CADE closes antitrust probe of Adyen

( December 19, 2022, 19:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Brazilian competition authority closed an antitrust probe into the national subsidiary of payment services provider Adyen for allegedly refusing to contract with small payment acquirers. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, started investigating the case last year, following a complaint filed by bank Safra and its payment acquirer, SafraPay Credenciadora, accusing Adyen of refusing to contract with them. Adyen was also targeted for alleged discrimination against SafraPay and for allegedly blocking access to essential infrastructure.CADE decision is attached....
