In the US, the DOJ and the Federal Trade Commission both enforce antitrust law. “For too long, our two-headed antitrust enforcement system has suffered from bureaucratic in-fighting, delays, redundancies, and inconsistency," the Utah Republican said in a statement. As now written, the One Agency Act would also prohibit the Federal Communications Commission from undertaking duplicative competitive analyses of deals under its purview.
