Australia court finds Advanced Medical Institute guilty of making false claims

( April 23, 2015, 06:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Australian Federal Court has declared that Advanced Medical Institute, or AMI, NRM Corporation and NRM Trading Pty. Ltd., or NRM, had engaged in unconscionable conduct in promoting and supplying medical services and medications for men suffering from sexual dysfunction. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission instituted proceedings against AMI and its founder, Jacov Vaisman, in 2010. NRM was ordered to permanently restrain from making false claims about the efficacy of its treatments and from treating patients for male sexual dysfunction unless the patient has a consultation with a qualified medical practitioner.  The regulator's full statement follows:...
